At Mr. Frank’s, we take great pride in using only the purest spices and herbs, freshly ground with absolutely no additives or fillers.
A Legacy of Flavor
Our story began in 1964 when Mr. Frank Postl, an immigrant and skilled wood-carver, created his “world-famous” all-purpose seasoning. It quickly became a family treasure, now proudly shared with kitchens everywhere. After arriving in Canada in 1953, Mr. Frank opened “Frank’s Steak House & Tavern,” renowned for its handcrafted wood carvings and unforgettable flavors. His legendary steaks and lobster butter made him a local icon in Niagara Falls, where his legacy still stands at the site, now a celebrated restaurant called Weinkellers.
In honor of her father, Lisa Russell founded Mr. Frank’s Kitchen to continue his incredible legacy. His work ethic, charm, and determination inspired everyone around him, and his influence still lives on in every blend we offer. With each sprinkle of our spices—both his Original and our newest blend creations Spicy Original, Garden Sriracha, Tropical Sriracha, Seasoning Salt, and Mediterranean — you're bringing a part of our flavorful story to your table.

Founder & CEO, Mr. Frank's Kitchen
As the Founder and CEO of Mr. Frank’s Kitchen, Lisa brings over 25 years of senior-level management experience in the food and beverage industry as well as two decades as a seasoned entrepreneur. Her experience as a chef, athlete, and competitive bodybuilder has allowed her to create a series of products that not only taste great but are also good for you.
“When I founded Mr. Frank's Kitchen, the things that were most important to me in carrying on my dad's incredible legacy, was to stay as true to his quality of standards with my products and representation of him.
I grew up hearing him say, “Keep it simple and focus on a few things - but be better than anyone else.” So, with that in mind, when I created Mr. Frank’s, I wanted to bring my customers the absolute best possible seasonings I could by using only the finest ingredients available, and not using additives and fillers in my blends that is commonplace with other manufactures.
To me, food truly is life. It is what brings people together not just out of necessity, but out of love, kindness, joy, hope, friendship, and even sadness and hardship. It's family, friends, strangers, politicians, and the Pope… and everybody in between, coming together over food.”
